Equipment Recommendations

Using the right equipment ensures accuracy, sterility, and consistency in peptide research.

Essential Equipment

  • Syringes: Use insulin syringes (0.3–1 mL) for precise small-volume measurements. Ensure they are sterile and single-use.
  • Needles: 25–30 gauge needles are typical. Use a fresh needle for each reconstitution to maintain sterility.
  • Vials: Peptides are supplied in sterile vials. Use compatible stoppers if transferring.
  • Refrigeration: Dedicated refrigerator (2–8°C) for reconstituted peptides. Freezer (-20°C or below) for lyophilized stock.

Optional but Helpful

  • Vial adapters: Simplify reconstitution without coring the stopper.
  • Calibrated pipettes: For precise volume transfer in lab settings.
  • UV-resistant storage: Protect light-sensitive peptides.

Sterility

Always use sterile, single-use needles and syringes. Never reuse equipment that has contacted peptide solutions. Maintain a clean workspace and follow aseptic technique.
